Networks of Cities

The City of Nuremberg is a founding member of three different networks, which are interested in working for a culture of human rights in their cities and in sharing experiences in order to improve their policies to fight racism, discrimination and xenophobia. The intentions of these networks are closely connected and mutually complementary.

Alliance Against Right-Wing Extremism in Nuremberg Metropolitan Region

On 19 March 2009 the „Alliance Against Rights-Wing Extremism in Nuremberg Metropolitan Region“ was established and an action plan was adopted.

Coalition of Cities against Racism

The Coalition of Cities is an initiative by UNESCO and the City of Nuremberg. In 2004 the coalition was established in Nuremberg and a "Ten-Point-Plan of Action" was adopted.

European Conference Cities for Human Rights

The basis for the activities of this network of municipalities is provided by the "European Charter for the Safeguarding of Human Rights in the City".
