Concert Stages
The types of music performed are very varied, and so are the stages where it is performed. The most famous is probably the Nuremberg Meistersingerhalle, opened in 1963, a multi-functional building with a unique interior design. And exceptional ambience is provided by the Serenadenhof, a courtyard within the Congress Hall on the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds, or by the ruins of St. Catharine's Church. Lesser and greater bards assemble during the annual singer-songwriter festival, Bardentreffen, making the entire Old Town their stage, while stars from the rock and pop scene put on their big performance in the Arena Nürnberger Versicherung, in the easyCredit-Stadion or open air during the "Rock in the Park" festival on the Zeppelin Field.
