The DB Museum, opened in 1899 as Royal Bavarian Railway Museum, is Germany's oldest railway museum. Today, as museum of the Deutsche Bahn AG, together with the Museum of Communication, it forms the Nuremberg Traffic Museum. Exhibits include about 40 historic rail vehicles, among them the legendary "Adler" (Eagle) locomotive. In addition to numerous special exhibitions and events, the museum's main attraction is the "Experience Area" of 1,000 square metres.
