Humboldtsäle (Humboldt Halls)

|
The Humboldt Halls, an Art Nouveau building erected in 1912 in the centre of the southern part of Nuremberg, have been at the centre of the city's social and cultural life since the 1920s: New Year's Eve Events, weddings and birthday parties, and major balls are held here.
Starting in 1958, the famous (infamous?) "Peterlesboum", Willi Händel and Karl Vogt performed their witty Nuremberg dialect musical and cabaret programme in the Humboldt Halls.
In the 1980s and 90s, the Humboldt Halls were the home of the legendary "Dröhnland", one of Nuremberg's first trend discos. After major refurbishment, the Humboldt Halls today are again available as venues for private parties and company functions, as well as for musical concerts.
