Klassik Open Air (Classic Open Air)  

In 2000, Nuremberg celebrated its 950th anniversary. Open air concerts with classical music, held in Luitpoldhain, were one of the nicest birthday presents the city gave to its citizens. In the meantime, these fabulous guest appearances of both the Nuremberg Philharmonic and Nuremberg Symphonic Orchestras have become a fixture in the summer calendar of events. Twice every year now, over 50,000 music fans of all ages and from all walks of life, wander out to the park in the summer, for the Classic Open Air and a picnic in the park. The event is free of charge.
