About us
EU policies and legislation have fundamental impact on the local level which often is responsible for the implementation of EU law. Decisions made by the European Union have also become increasingly important for citizens’ everyday lives. Therefore, engaging in European issues has become more and more relevant at local level. In Nuremberg, this task is shared by two divisions in the Department for Economic Affairs & Science.
The Office for European Issues and the EUROPE DIRECT Nuremberg, while having different goals, complement each other. Therefore, they ensure a proactive, consistent and successful engagement in European activities at local level in Nuremberg.
