EU projects in Nuremberg

Here we present some examples of EU projects in Nuremberg.

Energetic refurbishment of the Museum of Industrial Heritage

As part of the entire structural refurbishment of the Museum of Industrial Heritage, energy-related refurbishment is supported by EU funding. This includes the installation of new sun protection glazing with thermal insulation coating at the
windows of the south and west facades, the insulation and sealing of the roof, the installation of a photovoltaic system, the installation of energy-efficient heat pumps and the installation of a supply and exhaust air system for the internal ‘gallery room’ in the basement.

Pollutant remediation of the round torso of the congress hall

The shell of the congress hall has been largely empty in recent years. Now parts of the building are being developed for artistic and cultural use. Four of the 16 sectors of the congress hall round building will be rebuilt for enabling rooms and the additional building will create a new location for the Nuremberg State Theatre during the renovation and expansion of the opera house on Richard-Wagner-Platz. The remediation of pollutants in the rotunda torso and the inner courtyard is co-financed by EU funds.
