Film Promotion in Nuremberg
“Art is nice, but a lot of work.” That‘s how comedian, Karl Valentin phrased it. And for the art of film making, there is also considerable cost. The following institutions in Bavaria and Nuremberg promote the creation of film in various ways:
The FilmFernsehFonds Bayern promotes the production of cinema and TV films. In addition, the FFF Bayern provides comprehensive advice and information for the film and TV sector.
Nuremberg Authors’ Scholarship
The Authors’ Scholarship to promote Young Script Writers is awarded by Bavarian Television and the City of Nuremberg every two years. Any authors whose scripts have not been made into a film may apply (no teams of authors, though). The five best ideas for a full-length cinema or TV film are selected, and during a 9-month collaboration with experienced authors, these are turned into finished film scripts.
The Filmbüro Franken e.V. uses finance provided by the City of Nuremberg to promote feature and documentary short film projects from the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region.
