2003 Award Ceremony
The 5th presentation of the 2003 Nuremberg International Human Rights Award was held on September 14, 2003 in Nuremberg Opera House. The International Human Rights Award received Teesta Setalvad (India) and Ibn Abdur Rehman (Pakistan) for their committed fight against prejudice, hatred and violence. The tribute to the prizewinner held dr. Mário Soares, former President of the Portugese Republic.
Bruno Schnell, editor and publisher of the Nürnberger Nachrichten and Nürnberger Zeitung donated the award money.
